Jordan Larmour says he won't dwell on his errors after realising "a huge dream" in making his Ireland debut against Italy.
The 20-year-old came off the bench for the injured Robbie Henshaw in the 44th minute of an eight-try Six Nations hammering on Saturday.
The Leinster back produced one scintillating run that showed why Ireland fans have been anticipating his arrival but also missed a tackle on Matteo Minozzi that allowed Italy in for the second of their three tries.
"I really enjoyed it," Larmour told RTÉ Sport. "I was loving every minute. It was made even sweeter having all my friends and family out there.
"A few mistakes. A missed tackle on their 15 and they get in for a try. But I’ll take that as it comes and learn from my mistakes.
"When I get another opportunity, I’ll go out and execute it better."
Larmour added that he hadn't found the anticpation of his first cap or higher level too much of a burden.
"I found out during the week. I tried not to think about it too much and just take every day as it comes but I was delighted to get out there.
"It’s always been a huge dream of mine to play for Ireland and after putting in all that work, (you) finally get rewarded. I’ll try to do it as many times as I can.
"It was a step-up. A bit more physicality and pace but when you get into it you’re just playing rugby and you don’t think about it too much."
Larmour’s Leinster team-mate Joey Carbery was delighted to get back on the pitch for Ireland for the first time since breaking his arm against Fiji in November.
Carbery converted three tries and set up a score for Jacob Stockdale in his half-hour cameo.
"It was great to get back and get half an hour under my belt. I was pretty happy with how it went," he said.
"Obviously the three tries were annoying but we’ll learn from that.
"We still won, we still got the bonus point. It’s not all bad."
