I'll make decision on Munster future soon, says Simon Zebo

Simon Zebo admits that it would be a wrench to leave his native province as European action returns to Thomond Park this weekend, but insists he is yet to make a decision on his Munster future.

Munster welcome Ronan O’Gara back to his old stomping ground this weekend with Racing 92 as the home side look to build on last Sunday's draw away to Castres.

Zebo moved to within three tries of Munster’s leading European Cup tryscorer, the late Anthony Foley, with his five-pointer in France and continues to be linked with a move to France.

Out of contract at the end of this season, Pau are believed to be at the front of the queue for the Ireland international’s services.

The 27-year-old has made no secret of his desire to play in France at some point in his career and has rejected advances from the Top14 in the past.

He told a Munster press briefing that he couldn’t give any indication to his next move.

"I'm still deciding what I'm going to do in terms of my family and my future and it will probably take a little bit of time," he said.

"But I'll come to a decision soon."

Speaking to RTÉ Sport, the utility back admitted that European fare in Limerick has a unique feel to it.

"There’s no better atmosphere in the world than playing at Thomond Park. I don’t say that lightly, it’s incredible.

"There’s something about European rugby when the lights come on at Thomond, it’s that extra bit special."

Zebo was asked if he’d miss it should he decide to leave: "You would miss it alright. That’s definitely part of the good things about playing with Munster."
