Leinster's Tadhg Furlong, Jack Conan, Ben Marshall, Cian Kelleher, Luke McGrath and Colm O'Shea, along with Ulster's Stuart McCloskey are the uncapped players named by Joe Schmidt for Ireland’s clash with the Barbarians on Thursday.
Ulster back row Chris Henry returns to the squad for the non-cap Thomond Park game (7.45pm) for the first time since a mini-stroke suffered last November.
Number 8 Jamie Heaslip will captain the team.
No Connacht players were considered after their extra-time loss to Gloucester in the Champions Cup play-off yesterday, while Munster's contingent are busy preparing for the Pro12 final with Glasgow on Saturday.
The Barbarians have assembled a stellar squad that includes the likes of Brad Thorn (New Zealand), Joe Rokocoko (New Zealand), David Smith (Toulon), George Smith (Australia) and Ruan Pienaar (South Africa).
Ireland assistant coach Les Kiss said: "We knew it was an opportunity to explore options and also give guys who have come back, like Chris Henry, a run back in the squad.
"It lives up to what the Barbarians is about. Some players have been rested, some are carrying injuries. We're managing that.
"Both sides will want to make it an entertaining affair, we won't be far removed from being strong at the basics, we'll hope to launch something exciting off that. It would be nice to see a spectacle."
