Ireland's Dean Gardiner is just one win away from securing a place at the Olympic Games after victory in his semi-final in the qualifying tournament in Baku.
The Tipperary super-heavyweight scored a unanimous decision triumph against Alexei Zavatin of Moldova to book his place in Saturday's final.
Gardiner won all three of the judges' cards by a 29-28 margin to set up a showdown with Italy's Guido Vianello, who defeated American Marlo Moore in the other semi-final.
That clash will not only be for the gold medal at the Azerbaijan event, but for the sole Olympic place on offer in the 91+kg division in Baku.
Meanwhile, Michael O'Reilly is also through to the final in the middleweight category.
O'Reilly has already booked his ticket to Rio by reaching the semis as there were five places on offer in his weight class, but the Portlaoise BC man nonetheless advance to the 75kg final by outclassing Iraq's Waheed Abdulridha Waheed.
O'Reilly became the eighth Irish boxer to join Team Ireland for the Games, alongside Katie Taylor, Paddy Barnes, Brendan Irvine, Michael Conlan, David Oliver Joyce, Steven Donnelly and Joe Ward.
