Conor McGregor will face Brazil’s Diego Brandao in his comeback UFC fight in Dublin after Cole Miller pulled out with an injury.

Tension had been building up between McGregor and Miller as both men got involved in sledging ahead of the fight but a thumb injury has ruled out the American and UFC officials confirmed that Brandao, the number 15-ranked lightweight, would replace him.

It will be McGregor’s first fight since August 2013 when he suffered a serious knee injury in victory over Max Holloway.

UFC Fight Night 46 takes place in the O2 on 19 July.
