Cork may have beaten Dublin by 11 points when they met earlier this month but Jimmy Barry-Murphy is expecting a much tougher test when the sides meet in the Allianz Hurling League semi-finals.
Cork saw off Wexford’s challenge in Páirc Uí Rinn yesterday, while Ger Cunningham’s men brushed past Limerick in Croker on Saturday evening.
The two 1A teams will now meet in the semi-final on 19 April (venue and times to be confirmed), with Tipperary facing Waterford in the other tie.
“We know Dublin are a much better team than they showed against us in Croke Park the last day,” Barry-Murphy told RTÉ Sport.
“They had a very good win over Limerick so we’re looking forward to that and it will be a very, very good workout for us again. We’re looking forward to another three weeks of preparing for a really competitive game.”
On the 0-18 to 0-14 win over The Model County, JBM said: “We weren’t that happy with our first-half performance, we had some goal chances but we didn’t take them, which would have made it easier, obviously.
“But we thought, in our second-half display, we did just about enough to win the match.”
