The Limerick county board have confirmed that they are seeking a replay of the All-Ireland minor hurling with Galway because of the failure of the Hawk Eye detection system during Sunday's game at Croke Park.
The mistake made by the operators of the Hawk-Eye system has caused anger in the county after Limerick had Barry Nash point incorrectly ruled out.
Limerick were to eventually lose the game 0-23 to 0-20 but not before extra-time, which would not have been necessary had Nash's point stood.
County management will meet with the squad and backroom staff on Wednesday night to discuss the way forward.
Galway have indicated an unwillingness to offer a refixture and their focus is now on the decider against Waterford on 8 September.
The matter will now be dealt with by the GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee.
