Kilkenny defender JJ Delaney and Tipperary forward Lar Corbett will be free to play in the first round of their respective championships - despite being sent off in the Allianz League final.
Both players were expected to be suspended for one match following their fracas during Kilkenny’s 2-17 to 0-20 victory over Tipp at Nowlan Park, however, they will instead serve a time-based suspension because of a rule book technicality.
It may not matter to Corbett, though, as he recovers from broken ribs suffered during the final and is a doubt for Tipp's Munster opener against Limerick on 9 June.
Kilkenny begin their All-Ireland defence against Offaly on the same day.
