The Clare County Board are due to convene this evening, with the search for a new hurling manager top of the agenda.

Former All-Ireland winning captain Anthony Daly stepped down on Saturday after three years at the helm.

The 36-year-old had hinted earlier in the season that his reign was drawing to a close, making the announcement a forgone conclusion.

The Banner lost out in the last two All-Ireland semi-finals and there is now a fear that some of their senior players such as Brian Lohan and Seanie McMahon may retire.

The County Board has said it will not looking outside the county for the next manager.
