John Conran has succeeded Tony Dempsey as manager of the Wexford senior hurling team.
Conran won an All Star in 1987 and was manager of the Wexford teams that won Leinster Under-21 titles in 1996 and 1997. He was offered the job previously but turned it down due to work commitments.
His selectors are former inter-county player Martin Quigley and the well-known referee Dickie Murphy, who was also part of that winning under-21 set up in '97.
