Ireland will take on Great Britain in an uncapped series later this month as preparations for the European Championships and Olympic Games.
The SoftCo Series will take place in Queen's University Belfast on Saturday (13 March), Sunday (14 March and live on RTÉ2) and Tuesday (16 March).
The uncapped series will mark the first international matches for the team on home soil since the dramatic Olympic qualifier victory over Canada in December 2019.
With the European Championships in Amsterdam in June - which also doubles up as 2022 World Cup qualification – and the Tokyo Games in July on the horizon, captain Katie Mullan (pictured below) says the competition is just what the squad need after their five-game series of friendly internationals against Spain in January.
"Given the past 12 months we are really excited to play these international matches at home," she said.
"The squad has been training hard throughout, which showed in our recent matches against Spain. They are a strong team and we recorded two wins and two draws out of the five friendlies, putting us in a confident position going into our next block of training.
"As current Olympic gold medallists, Great Britain are an experienced and strong team, so this is a really good opportunity for us to put all the training into practice ahead of this summer."
RTÉ will broadcast Sunday evening’s match live on RTÉ2 with coverage starting from 4.30pm where Evanne Ní Chuillin will be joined by Cliodhna Sargent and Gillian Pinder in studio, with match commentary from George Hamilton and Sarah Scott.
Match One: Saturday, 13 March, 2pm
Match Two: Sunday, 14 March, 5pm. Live coverage on RTÉ2 from 4.30pm
Match Three: Tuesday, 16 March, 3pm.
