Stephanie Meadow is six shots off the lead ahead of Sunday's final round at the Pure Silk Championship in Virginia.

The Co Antrim native carded her strongest round of the tournament on Saturday with a 68, having started five off the lead after the opening two days.

Birdies on two, four and eight propelled Meadow up the leaderboard. A bogey on 15 stalled her momentum but she bounced back immediately on the 16th to finish up on four under.

But it's Taiwan's Wei-Ling Hsu and Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand who set the pace and share the lead on 10 under ahead of Sunday.

Both carded 65s to sit one shot clear of USA's Jessica Korda who occupies third after a 67, while overnight leader Sarah Kemp is in a two-way tie for fourth on eight under with Lizette Salas.

Cavan's Leona Maguire was not involved in round three, having missed the cut after the opening two rounds.
