Japan's Hiroyuki Fujita eased to a three-shot victory in the Okinawa Open, after shooting a closing round of five-under-par 67 at Southern Links Golf Club. Fujita, one of three joint leaders overnight, birdied the first three holes to forge clear of the field and finished at 14-under-par 202 for his third title on the Asian PGA Tour.
American Ted Purdy, who set the first-round pace with an opening 65, fell out of contention when he four-putted the 10th for a double-bogey six. His closing 70 left him in a tie for second place at 11 under with 22-year-old Japanese amateur Yusaku Miyazato, who shot a 67.
