Ozaki leads Okinawa Open

Japan's Tateo Ozaki fired an eight-under-par 64 to share the early second-round lead in the weather-disrupted Okinawa Open in Japan. Ozaki reeled off an eagle and six birdies to join compatriot Hiroyuki Fujita and American Ted Purdy at nine-under 135 before heavy rain ended play for the day with 42 players still out on the course.

Purdy, leader after the first round, carded a 70 at Southern Links Golf Club while Fujita returned a 68. Japan's Tetsuji Hiratsuka was also at nine under for the tournament but was playing the 18th hole when mid-afternoon rain halted action for the day. A further shot back at 136 is Fijian Dinesh Chand, who shot a 66.
