Australia’s Peter O’Malley has won the inaugural Clearwater Classic tournament in Christchurch. O’Malley shot four rounds under 70 and finished on a total of 17 under par, five shots ahead of American Brad Ott.
Rich Barcelo finished in third place on 11 under par, with Germany’s Alex Cejka coming home in fourth place after a strong finish of four birdies in his last five holes. Joel Kribel, Andrew McLardy and Nick O’Hern all finished joint fifth on 8 under par.
The Clearwater Classic was co-sanctioned by the Australasian PGA and the USPGA second-tier Buy.Com tour.
