Cork Under-20 hurling manager Pat Ryan hopes his side's All-Ireland-winning feats can inspire the Rebels senior team to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup for the first time in 16 years this weekend.
It's been a remarkable few weeks for Ryan who led Cork to the delayed 2020 Under-20 All-Ireland title with victory over Dublin in July, and then - just 39 days later - steered them to the 2021 crown thanks to a powerhouse performance against Galway.
Cork faces the Tribesmen in the All-Ireland minor decider this Saturday before a blockbuster All-Ireland SHC showdown with Limerick 24 hours later. Come Sunday evening, they could be toasting a brilliant treble on Leeside.
"It's very special," Ryan said after watching his team slay Galway.
"Not in our wildest dreams when we came back in the first week of May did we think we'd win two All-Irelands. We were very concentrated on winning the first one but in fairness to the lads, after winning the first one, the fellahs who were with us really drove on, drove the standard.
"There was a lot of work and we're getting the joys of it now. You have to enjoy it while you get it - you mightn't always get it. We'll enjoy these days.
"The work is going in in every other county. You see the work going in in Limerick, Galway have won All-Irelands, Tipperary have won All-Irelands. We're still without a senior title since 2005. Hopefully the lads can do it on Sunday."
Cork dominated the opening half against Galway at Semple Stadium on Wednesday night and could have been even more than 2-09 to 0-05 ahead at the break. Their opponents rallied on the turnaround but Padraig Power's goal took the sting out of their comeback and the Rebels closed it out.
"We played brilliantly in the first half, probably should have been more up," Ryan added.
"Galway are a fantastic hurling county, a fantastic GAA county, and they came back at us, fought tooth and nail to get it back to within three points. They were in the ascendancy and we got a great goal to get us back on top. We drove on from there. I think we just deserved it in the end thank God.
"We have very good hurlers. We're trying to marry that with work rate. The lads are doing that for us.
"We put in an awful long shift during Covid, fellahs have really stick at it and driven on. I'm thrilled for the players, their families and their clubs."
