Dublin duo Sinéad Goldrick and Lauren Magee played their part as Melbourne Demons held on to beat Fremantle Dockers, and book their place in the AFLW Premiership finals series.

The Demons were in control at the break as they held a four goal cushion, but it was much closer in the end as they claimed the points on a 5.7 (37) to 4.8 (32) scoreline.

It was far more straightforward for the Adelaide Crows as they dismantled Western Bulldogs by 12.6 (78) to 3.4 (22).

Clare's Ailish Considine wasn't involved in the panel this weekend as she continues her recovery from a concussion suffered last month.

Elsewhere there was disappointment for the Irish trio of Aishling McCarthy and sisters Niamh and Grace Kelly as West Coast Eagles lost out to Richmond on a 5.12 (42) to 5.4 (34) scoreline.

Niamh contributed a goal and Grace contributed a behind to the Eagles' total, but McCarthy was taken off early in the game after suffering a knee injury.
