Ciarán Kilkenny could not contain his emotions as he spoke to RTÉ Sport about the emotion of completing the five in a row, the respect his team have for Kerry and the pride he feels for his team-mates, family and county.
Kilkenny starred for the Dubs, notching five points in the 1-18 to 0-15 win as Jim Gavin's men beat Kerry at the second time of asking.
"That's the most special feeling I have ever felt in my life. I am so emotional," he told Clare McNamara, before emitting a primal scream.
"Whoooo! We did it."
He continued: "Such relief after the first game. We had such a titanic battle, we have such respect for this Kerry team and to just get over the line means so much to this group.
"[There are] Grown men out there is tears. We are so proud of each other, our families, this county.
"We can just go and party," concluded the Castleknock forward.
