Clare are likely to be without full-forward John Conlon for the remainder of the Allianz Hurling League after the Clonlara man was ruled out for four weeks with an ankle injury.
The 2018 All Star left the field of play against Wexford last weekend in the final minute, but management said afterwards that the injury was "not as serious as first thought".
The Banner however have confirmed that he is expected to be absent for four weeks, and with the League final set for 24 March should Clare make it that far, he is unlikely to feature again in the campaign.
Conlon has been in good form to date on the edge of the square, finding the back of the net against both Kilkenny and Wexford and picking off six points from play against Cork in their recent defeat on Leeside.
Clare need to beat Limerick at Cusack Park this Sunday to secure a place in the League quarter-finals.
