The Sigerson Cup semi-final between NUI Galway and UCC has been switched to Sunday 17 February at the Galway college's request.

The move should allow both NUIG's Kieran Molloy (Corofin) and UCC's David Shaw (Dr Crokes) to represent their clubs in the All-Ireland club SFC semi-finals on 16 February.

Holders Corofin will play Gaoth Dobhair in Carrick-on-Shannon at 1.30pm on Saturday week while Dr Crokes meet Leinster champions Mullinalaghta in Semple Stadium at 3.30pm.

Molloy made headlines last year when he dashed to Dublin to come on as a substitute for NUIG in the Sigerson final defeat to UCD, fresh from helping Corofin beat Moorefield in Tullamore.

Molloy's team-mate Liam Silke is still likely to miss out as his UCD team's meeting with St Mary's Belfast remains fixed for Mallow on the Saturday.

NUIG were the only college to request a fixture change.
