Joe Canning has played down fears he may have suffered a serious injury after being replaced near the end of Galway's victory over Wexford today.
The reigning Leinster and All-Ireland champions will face Wexford or Kilkenny in the provincial decider on 1 July, having sealed their place in the final ahead of their final group game against Dublin next week.
Canning told RTÉ Sport that he had sustained a blow to the knee from a hurley but that he didn't think it would be too serious.
The Portumna man scored 0-12 in a man-of-the-match performance, including two points from play and two sideline cuts.
