Waterford GAA have confirmed that Tadhg de Búrca suffered a broken collar bone and Barry Coughlan three broken bones in his hand during the Déise's Munster SHC loss to Clare on Sunday last.
Both players are set to be out of action for a number of months whilst Darragh Fives will most likely be absent for the remainder of the Munster campaign due to a calf injury.
This latest news comes on top of a growing injury list for Derek McGrath's side.
The team management and the medical team are currently assessing the situation regarding Noel Connors who had to leave the field at half-time against the Banner with a back injury and Maurice Shanahan who stayed on suffering with a groin issue, along with the serious injuries picked up by Austin Gleeson and Pauric Mahony.
Waterford GAA can also confirm that Kevin Moran will not be requesting a hearing on his proposed one match suspension after his dismissal at Cusack Park.
Last year's All-Ireland finalists take on Tipperary a the Gaelic Grounds in the second of their Munster round-robin games on Sunday next.
