Conor Mortimer believes Mayo can triumph in tomorrow's All-Ireland final replay - but only with an improved performance in midfield and attack, particularly from the O'Shea and O'Connor brothers.
Mortimer thinks Mayo's marquee names like midfielder Seamus O'Shea and forwards Aidan O'Shea, Cillian O'Connor and Diarmuid O'Connor will need to have big games for their side to triumph.
"We need the O'Sheas and the O'Connors to step up. We need big games from the four of those and Andy Moran as well.
"If those players can perform to 8/10 or 9/10, we'll go a long way towards winning the game.
"In midfield we need to step up and counter-act Brian Fenton's runs from midfield.
"We need to rack up a few more scores."
Stephen Rochord's side drew with a strangely-subdued Dublin a fortnight ago, and the former Green and Red forward thinks they showed enough to suggest a 65-year wait for Sam could end tomorrow.
"We all believe that Mayo can do it," he told RTÉ Sport.
"Part of it (the drawn game) was that Dublin didn't play well, part of it was what we did. We have to do that again.
"If Dublin play well tomorrow, it's because we let them. We swamped them last week and didn't let them play.
"We need to do what we did last week and do more offensively to go on and win the game.
"Our defence will be fine. It has been for the last number of years. We need our midfield to improve and our forward line to improve."
Dublin scored just six points from play in the drawn game but the platform of two first-half own-goals was almost enough to secure victory.
Mortimer expects a reaction from a team that has won three of the last five All-Ireland titles.
"That was their worst performance in about five years," he said. "Jim Gavin won't have had to say too much to those lads. They'll know they didn't perform the last day.
"They've won three out of the last five so they know what it takes on All-Ireland final day.
"A lot of people were surprised by their performance the last day so I think there'll be a reaction from Dublin.
"Hopefully we can match that and more."
