Cork reportedly cut Shane O'Neill and Patrick Cronin from hurling panel

Cork have reportedly cut two former captains from their hurling panel ahead of their Munster SH clash with Tipperary on 22 May.

Thirty-year-old Shane O’Neill, who led the county in 2011 and 28-year-old Patrick Cronin, who captained Cork to a Munster title in 2014, have both been omitted.

The Irish Examiner reports that other notable omissions by manager Kieran Kingston are Paudie O’Sullivan, Cian McCarthy and Stephen Moylan, although O’Sullivan and McCarthy reportedly opted out themselves.

While Cork defeated Galway in last Sunday’s Division 1A relegation play-off, none of the aforementioned five featured.
