The Connacht Football Championship final between Mayo and Sligo will take place at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon on Sunday 19 July.
Following an event management plan being put in place by the Connacht Council, the venue will have a capacity of 20,000.
A statement on the Connacht GAA website stated the geographical location of the counties, expected attendance and capacities of grounds in the province were considered in making the decision.
Mayo and Sligo's last Connacht final meeting in 2012 was also at Hyde Park.
