Ireland had a bizarre win over Australia in the Under-17 International Rules series at Croke Park this afternoon. The tourists were well on top for the entire match and had established a 63-29 lead going into the final minutes. However, officials noticed that Australia had 16 players on the pitch, and under the International Rules code, their score was reduced to zero. Ireland eventually emerged victorious on a scoreline of 31-7.
