Former Cavan minor Nicholas Walsh, who is now on the books of Australian Rules outfit the Melbourne Demons, has replaced Longford's Paul Barden in the Ireland squad for tomorrow’s International Rules first Test at Croke Park. Barden was taken ill on Thursday and ran a high temperature, leading to doctor's advice not to consider playing this weekend.
Meanwhile doubts continue as to the involvement of Tadgh Kennelly tomorrow. The Listowel man will have a late fitness test tomorrow morning.
