Donegal's Brendan Devenney has withdrawn from the Ireland International Rules squad to play Australia in October. His contract with Finn Harps means he hasn't the time necessary to commit fully to the series as he did in 1998 and last year. His withdrawal follows those of Dublin's Ciaran Whelan and Meath's Cormac Sullivan.
Devenney's withdrawal will come as a blow to the Ireland set-up as he was their top scorer in last year's series.
