Cork qualified for the semi-final of the McGrath Cup with a 1-14 to 0-12 win over Tipperary in Clonmel.

Donncha O’Connor got the goal for the Leesiders, who will now face Waterford next week after Deise got the better of CIT on a 1-11 to 0-09 scoreline.

The other last-four pairing will see IT Tralee take on UCC.

The former saw off an understrength Kerry side 4-12 to 0-16 in Tralee, with the All-Ireland champions, currently on holidays in South Africa, fielding none of the side that captured Sam Maguire last September.

Darragh Ó Sé, the Kingdom U-21 boss took charge, and it looked like his outfit were on their way to victory when they pushed 0-13 to 1-06 clear by the 45th minute. However, IT Tralee finished strongly and goals from Conor Keane, Padraic O'Shea and Peter Nash sealed their victory.

The students of UCC were too good for Limerick as they ran out 4-16 to 3-09 winners in Rathkeale
