Kerry’s Bryan Sheehan has been sidelined for six weeks after picking up an injury in a challenge match last month.

Sheehan missed Saturday’s opening round defeat to Dublin in the League, and is also set to miss out on ties against Derry, Mayo and Tyrone according to reports.

The St Mary’s clubman has been pencilled in for a return in mid March, with Kerry to face Kildare on the 16th and Westmeath on the 30th.

It is a further disruption to manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice's plans after he lost Paul Galvin to retirement at the weekend.
