Daithi Regan will make his first start of the 2006 National League when Meath take on Laois in Navan on Sunday at Páirc Tailteann, throw-in 2.30pm.

The St. Michael's forward has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury in the Royals' O'Byrne Cup semi-final win over Dublin on January 22.

Regan is one of two changes that manager Eamonn Barry has made to the side that thumped reigning league champions Armagh - 0-19 to 1-09 - last time out.

Regan takes over from Rory Maguire at right corner forward, while Peadar Byrne loses his left half-forward berth to Tadhg Brosnan.

The availability of Caoimhin King and Kevin Reilly, both named in Barry's full-back line, will depend on how the pair come through the Meath U21 Leinster championship quarter-final clash with Kildare tomorrow afternoon
