Northern Ireland have qualified for the knockout stages of Euro 2016 following the conclusion of group C and D.
Michael O'Neill's side finished third in their group following a 1-0 defeat to Germany, but will qualify for the last 16 as one of the four best third placed sides.
Last week's 2-0 win over Ukraine gave Northern Ireland their only points of the group stages, but that, combined with their goal difference of 0, means they have a better record than both Albania and Turkey, who finished in third place in groups A and D respectively.
They will now meet either France or Wales in the next round, depending on how the remaining groups, E and F, finish up.
Turkey surprised the Czech Republic in their final game of Group D to ensure the lifelong gratitude of Northern Ireland's players and supporters.
Goalkeeper Michael McGovern will also receive much of the credit for his sides's progression as he produced a series of stunning saves to prevent Germany extending their lead.
Given the importance of goal difference to qualification, his input cannot be exaggerated.
Earlier, captain Steven Davis said: "We don’t want the fairytale to end. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed this experience and it has been incredible. Hopefully long may it continue for ourselves and the fans.
"They’ve been unbelievable, one of the biggest plus points for the whole of the tournament. They are enjoying it as much as us.
"I don’t think they wanted to leave the stadium today. They’ve been excellent. Unbelievable. There is not enough words to describe them.
"They are a credit to our country and even back home the ones back home who haven’t been able to make it you pick up things videos on social media. The reaction back home has been unbelievable. There is great pride in the country and that is great to see."
