Ukraine are steeling themselves for a tough physical battle against Northern Ireland in their Group C encounter in Lyon.
Both sides need a win after opening day defeats by Poland and Germany respectively, with an early exit looming if they fail to get three points tomorrow evening.
Ukraine earned praise for their performance against Germany despite the 2-0 loss, with Manuel Neuer producing several high-class saves to keep out Mykhailo Fomenko's side.
"I think we have to create more chances and score more goals," was the coach's blunt response to a query about how they can improve on Sunday's first outing.
"Every team plays as well as it can. I think [Northern Ireland are] going to play their best tomorrow, but we will try to seize our opportunities and score.
"They apply pressure and wait for the reaction, but that is one of the main principles of the game.
"Our players understand this and we have gone through it. I'm sure they'll give 100 per cent tomorrow."
"It's a decisive game for both of us.
Defender Artem Fedetskiy echoed his manager's disappointment with the result against the world champions.
However, he spent much of the pre-match press conference batting way questions about the team's preparations with reports that the players had been seen drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes in the aftermath of their opening defeat.
Fedetskiy said: "We were not very satisfied with the game. We have to convert our chances.
"We have nothing to fear because we have two games left to rectify things and get a positive result.
"We are preparing well and have recovered from the Germany game. I think we will be ready, physically and psychologically."
When his attention turned to tomorrow's opponents, the Dnipro defender emphasised their ability from set-pieces and competitive qualities.
He said: "We watched the Poland game and analysed it. They play very good strong football and fight to the end. It is not going to be easy.
"We have our own football and tactics though, so we hope to be on top. It will be as difficult for us as you. I hope it will be a positive result for us to put things right after the Germany game.
"It's a decisive game for both of us. They are dangerous from set-pieces. We will have to maintain our focus and defend competently. Then we will try to take our chances at the other end."
