France and Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho's provisional suspension for failing a drugs test has been lifted by European football governing body Uefa.
Sakho was banned for 30 days after testing positive for an illegal substance following Liverpool's Europa League tie against Manchester United on 17 March.
The club said they would not consider the 26-year-old for selection until any disciplinary proceedings were completed, with Sakho missing Liverpool's Europa League final defeat by Sevilla earlier this month.
Sakho's lawyers had argued that a fat-burner the player had ingested was not on the list of banned substances, meaning that he was not guilty of doping.
If found guilty of a drugs violation, the player would have faced at least a six-month ban. Liverpool have declined to comment.
Sakho was omitted from France's squad for the Euro 2016 finals but coach Didier Deschamps has until 31 May to register his 23-man squad with UEFA.
Although Sakho has not played since Liverpool's Europa Cup quarter-final against Dortmund on April 14, he has been training on his own twice a day and has said he would be ready to play for France if required.
In a brief statement on Sakho, UEFA said: "The 30-day provisional suspension ends today.
"The chairman of the control, ethics and disciplinary body decided not to extend it.
"The player would thus be free to play as from tomorrow. A decision on the case will be made within the next few days."
