Russia will without key midfielder Alan Dzagoev at Euro 2016 after he withdrew from the squad with a broken metatarsal.
Dzagoev, 25, scored three times in the competition four years ago to finish joint top scorer but will not have the chance to add to that tally in France.
Russia, who face England, Wales and Slovakia in Group B, have called up Krasnodar's Dmitri Torbinski as a replacement in their 23-man group.
Dzagoev suffered the injury playing for Russian champions CSKA Moscow against Rubin Kazan at the weekend.
A statement from the Russian Football Union said: "The player has undergone the medical examination which confirmed the fracture of the second instep bone. The injury does not let Dzagoev take part in the Euro 2016."
Leonid Slutski's side will take on the Czech Republic and Serbia in friendlies before heading to France.
