Lynch takes Dresden Grand Prix win

Tipperary's Denis Lynch rounded off a successful weekend at the three-star show in Dresden, Germany with a convincing win in the Dresden Grand Prix on Sunday.

Riding his new mount, the Hannoverian Lantinus, the 31-year-old
German-based rider rode a fault-free round in the 16-horse jump-off for the Grand Prix prize of a Mercedes C Class car, and sped across the finishing line almost one-and-a-half seconds ahead of Italian challenger Giulia Martinengo Marquet.

Lynch, who also had a sixth place with Hello Popsie in the Dresden Two-Phase competition earlier in the afternoon, took the winner's rosette in Saturday night's speed class on Upsilon d'Ocquier.
