Sam Bennett has secured the green jersey at the Volta ao Algarve.
The Carrick-on-Suir rider, who also took the prestigious sprint honour at last year's Tour de France, had claimed two stage wins at the Portuguese road race to bolster his chances of earning the green jersey at the end of Sunday's fifth and final stage which was won by France's Elie Gesbert.

Bennett's latest achievement comes as he is set to leave the Deceuninck-QuickStep team when his contract expires, with team manager Patrick Lefevere citing financial considerations in quotes to WielerFlits.
Portugal's Joao Rodrigues took the overall Volta ao Algarve victory, pipping Ethan Hayter of Great Britain by nine seconds.
Hayter's hopes of overall victory were dashed on the final climb of the race as his injuries from a crash 24 hours earlier told.
Having led since Thursday's second stage, the Ineos Grenadiers rider's elbow heavily bandaged after a costly fall during Saturday's time trial, could not respond as Rodrigues put in a late attack on the climb to Malhao - the end of the closing 170km stage from Albufeira.
