Bangladesh produce worst one-day showing

Bangladesh produced their worst ever one-day showing on Monday in the second of three matches against Sri Lanka with no batsman managing more than 15 and extras top-scoring with 20 in a total of 76 all out. Bangladesh were skittled out in just 30.1 overs. Their previous lowest in a one-dayer was 87, in a match with Pakistan.

The young team showed none of the spark they managed in the first one-dayer on Sunday when they lost by five wickets but totalled a respectable 226 for eight. Former captain Naimur Rahman, flown in just for the one-dayers, and Khaled Mahmud, were out for ducks and only three players got to double figures.

Habibul Bashar and Tushar Imran each made 10 and captain Khaled Mashud reached 15, before being the last man out, caught off leg-break bowler Upul Chandana. Bangladesh's top score in the two recent tests against Sri Lanka was 184.
