England fell to a three-wicket defeat against a Northern Districts’ XI in their opening warm-up match in New Zealand today.
England rested skipper Nasser Hussain and Andrew Flintoff and despite setting a solid 288 for six, the Northern Districts’ XI clinched victory helped by an innings of 80 off 47 balls by Simon Doull and 79 by Michael Parlane.
