Kurt Walker has captured a gold medal at the EU Elite Men’s Championships after defeating European champion and world bronze medallist Peter McGrail.
After booking his spot in the final with a unanimous decision win over Georgia’s Artyush Gomtsyun, Walker prevailed against England's McGrail via split decision in Valladolid, Spain.
Kurt and McGrail have clashed in the ring earlier this year where the Englishman came out on top in the final of the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

The Antrim bantamweight's victory follows on from Kellie Harrington's victory earlier today, which saw her book a spot in the last eight of the Women's World Championship in New Delhi.
