Kellie Harrington has booked her place in the last eight of the Women's World Championship in New Delhi with a win over India's Sarita Devi in today's last-16 bout.
After a competitive lightweight contest, Harrington was awarded the fight by the judges on a 3:2 split decision, seeing the Dubliner into the quarter-finals.
There was disappointment however for Offaly's Gráinne Walsh who came out the wrong side of a split decision against Argentina's Lucia Noelia Perez in her last-16 bout.
The Tullamore woman, a former soccer prodigy, was very unlucky to lose out after a cagey affair.
Four more Irish boxers have last-16 encounters tomorrow, with Ceire Smith, Michaela Walsh, Amy Broadhurst and Aoife O'Rourke.
51kg Ceire Smith (Ireland) v Namiki Tukimi (Japan)
57kg Michaela Walsh (Ireland) v Alessia Mesiano (Italy)
64kg Amy Broadhurst (Ireland) v Erike Sanche (Argentina) or Ani Hovsepyan (Armenia)
75kg Aoife O’Rourke (Ireland) v Lauren Price (Wales)
