Carl Frampton celebrated his return to the ring with a unanimous points win over Mexican Horacio Garcia in front of a hometown crowd in Belfast.
It was far from a convincing victory for 'The Jackal' in the SSE Arena, but the result gives him his first victory since losing out to Leo Santa Cruz earlier this year.
The 30-year-old former two-weight world champion is now hoping for a world title fight at Windsor Park in 2018.
After the win, Frampton said: "It was a good fight for the fans. I got myself caught up in a fight after boxing lovely at the start. I didn't want anything to be easy at the start and I've gotten the rust off."
"I want one of the big boys now, I'm ready. If I have to wait around for a fight in Windsor Park in the summer, that's what I want."
Fighting at an agreed weight of 9st 1lb over 10 rounds, Frampton started well and dominated the early rounds before his opponent came back into the contest.
After getting caught on the ropes a couple of times, Frampton appeared to slip in the seventh round but the referee claimed a punch had been landed and gave him a standing count.
Garcia was setting the pace towards the end of the fight and as they began to trade blows a tiring Frampton still did enough to win the fight on all three of the judges' cards.
