Former Dublin footballer and All-Ireland winner Charlie Redmond joined Ray D’Arcy in studio to discuss his career, his late wife Gráinne and his hopes for the future of the game. During their conversation, he remembered the slightly unorthodox way he met Gráinne.
Charlie, a firefighter, was sent into the Rotunda to witness some births in anticipation of helping out at a few himself. There, he met Gráinne, a student nurse, who was under the mistaken impression that he was was an inappropriately flirtatious new father.
