In 1995, Barings Bank collapsed. Ray D'Arcy sat down with the man who caused it. Nick Leeson, who now lives in Ireland, has just left the final series of Celebrity Big Brother. In a candid interview, he spoke about his time in prison for losing £827 million in speculative investments while an employee of Barings Bank.

It's a period of his life he will "always be remembered for", Nick says. He told Ray that he looks back on the man he was then and doesn't like what he saw. In his eyes, Celebrity Big Brother was an opportunity to present the public with who he is today.

"Big Brother was my own social experiment."

Telling Ray he "expected to be one of the first few out", Nick was happy with his fourth-place finish on the show. As for his housemates, he's fonder of some than others. Ryan, he likes. But Hardeep?

"Hardeep was useful when I was in the house…not so much anymore."

These days, Nick lives in Galway and continues to trade and offer trading advice. To the multiple listeners who messaged the show asking for advice about that most modern of dilemmas – which cryptocurrency to invest in – he had some simple advice.

"If you don't understand something, don't get involved in it."
