Jennifer Purcell Cervical Cancer at 25

Jennifer Purcell from Limerick moved over to London to follow her career in media. Thanks to the late campaigner Laura Brennan, Jennifer was conscious of the dangers of cervical cancer and booked a smear test as soon as she received a letter from the NHS ahead of her 25th birthday. Jennifer’s early intervention proved to be important and she diagnosed with Stage 1 cervical cancer – spending her 25th birthday in the hospital getting treatment.
