A man in his 40s has died after falling at Wembley Stadium during an Oasis concert, the Metropolitan Police have said.
Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who brought the iconic Britpop band back together for a blockbuster world tour this year, told the BBC they were "shocked and saddened" by the fan's death.
"At around 22.19pm on Saturday, 2 August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded alongside venue medics and the London Ambulance Service to reports that a person had been injured," a police spokesperson said.
They said the man, aged in his 40s, was found with injuries consistent with a fall.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
