A commuter distracted by their phone survived a close call with an oncoming train in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this week, as they narrowly avoided being hit in a full-on collision while crossing railway tracks.
The Argentine Ministry of Transport said the scare took place during the early morning commute when a walked through barricades separating tracks at a station and nearly crossed as a train arrived.
The train struck the commuter, who stepped back at the last moment, knocking their phone from their hand and causing them to fall to the ground.
Staff from Argentine Trains rushed to assist the commuter who suffered no serious injuries.
