At least six people were killed and 11 wounded after three blasts hit a boys' school in a Shia Hazara district of the Afghan capital, police said.
The school is located in the capital's western neighbourhood of Dasht-e-Barchi, an area mainly inhabited by the Hazara community and previously targeted by the so-called Islamic State group.
The blasts occurred as students were coming out of their morning classes, according to witnesses.
Earlier, the head of a hospital nursing department said at least four people had been killed and 14 wounded in the blasts.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, which followed a lull in violence over the cold winter months and after foreign forces withdrew last year.
The Taliban say they have secured the country since taking power in August, but international officials and analysts say that the risk of a resurgence in militancy remains and the Islamic State group has claimed several major attacks
