A man accused of driving a car into pedestrians outside a major Australian transport hub has been charged with murder following the death of a pensioner injured in the incident.
Saeed Noori, 32, was charged with 18 counts of attempted murder following last month's incident outside Flinders Street station in Melbourne, which injured 19 people.
Detectives in Victoria upgraded one of the charges following the death of an 83-year-old man from the Northcote area of the city on 29 December.
Mr Noori, a former Afghan refugee who is now an Australian citizen, also faces one charge of conduct endangering life.
The defendant, from the Heidelberg West area of Melbourne, has been remanded in custody to appear in court again on 30 May.
Of those injured in the incident on 21 December, nine were foreign nationals, including one Irish person.
Three people remain in hospital.
