Days after Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg vowed to work to keep the world's leading social network from being used to propagate harrowing acts like murder and suicide, a man in Thailand filmed himself killing his 11-month-old daughter and then taking his own life on Facebook Live.

But companies like Facebook and Twitter do employ a small army of workers who constantly filter their websites for offensive content. 

Documentary maker Ciaran Cassidy joined Radio 1's Marian Finucane on Saturday to discuss his new documentary called The Moderators.

It goes behind the scenes at an office in Bangalore, India, where he meets some of the ‘content moderators’.
